I came here to relieve my mind, it’s over-saturated.
It’s 02:45 am on a Thursday and yours truly has completely abandoned sleep. How can I sleep when my head and heart are in a constant tumble, my eyes have gazed upon words along the lines of - “ways to become a better writer”, “ do these and be assured of great returns”, “things you’ve been doing wrong as a writer”, “5 sure ways to write better copies for your prospective clients”…now it seems like it’s the only thing I see when I delve into the vastness of the internet.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish they would all SHUT UP!
3-4 months ago it was “Learn a skill” now it’s “Make sure you’re earning in dollars”. Honestly, I’m tired, this isn’t what our youth is supposed to be like. Regardless of all of this, I’ll get through, I’m not bending to the will of these turmoils (I hope you won’t too).
I wanted to rant about the state of the country, our failed government and the bad educational system…I wanted to talk about how some people’s mental health is now in shambles, but talking about it comes off as a reminder of pain so instead let’s talk about serotonin-inducing stuff.
Should we talk about music and the (positive) attention it has given us?, what about sports - Thank you Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume, wait we have some top guys who are making us proud in the literary community!!…fashion too!! and even in the movie industry!!!
Sike, we sure have encouraging aspects to relieve our distress and on that, I choose to set my mind upon.
Our patience, mental health, and peace of mind are tested daily in these trying times so please wherever you’re reading this from - take things easy on yourself.
Melody For Us - Invisible by David Archuleta.
Till I write to you again, stay jiggy

“Take things easy on yourself”
Now that's something we don't hear often though it needs to be said💙
